4 in10 is hosting an in-person two-hour event for current or prospective members of London’s Child Poverty Network.
The purpose of this event is to:
- Introduce 4in10 and explain how we can support you or your organisation in your efforts to tackle child poverty
- Provide up to date information about child poverty in your community that will be useful to your work
- Discuss the key and emerging issues for children, families and young people living on low incomes in the borough
- Explore ways we can collaborate to campaign for a child poverty free Merton
- Facilitate an opportunity to network with others who share your aims

Supporting Migrants and Minoritised families through the SEND diagnosis process

Please join 4in10 for our next information event where we will co-host a conversation in partnership with JoshyBoy Legacy and the Disabled Children’s Partnership. Getting a diagnosis and ECHP plan is difficult for all families across the capital. But some families face additional barriers all along the way.Co-founder Terry-King Emmanuel from Joshyboy Legacy and Campaign Manager, Stephen Kingdom from the Disabled Children’s Partnership will join us to lead a conversation on what those barriers are and how organisations can support families to overcome them, as well as consider ways to advocate for a more inclusive, accessible system.
We’d warmly welcome 4in10 members, educational and health professionals, campaigners and parents to join us for an important discussion.

4in10 Policy Forum
We have set up a Policy Forum within 4in10, to bring members together to discuss all things relating to policy and child poverty in London. In Oct 2023 our Strategic Programme Manager, Katherine, joined the London Partnership Board as a representative of the community and voluntary sectors which provides us with an excellent opportunity to feed into high level strategic discussions about the big issues affecting London and we propose to use these meetings to ensure that she is reflecting the membership’s views in these discussions. Sign up to join the mailing list for the forum here. The Forum meets quarterly and there will be no formal membership – any 4in10 member will be welcome to attend on a meeting by meeting basis.
4in10 Open Coffee Mornings
If you would like to co-host a coffee morning with 4in10 to discuss a particular theme, please get in touch.
4in10 Open Coffee Mornings are free, fun and open to everyone who shares concern on issues relating to growing child poverty in our capital. Open Coffee Morning sessions are thematic, usually online and with one overarching area which frames the discussion. However, the sessions are truly flexible; attendees can contribute, participate, and engage in ways and on areas that matter to them.
