Supporting children in poverty experiencing bereavement

Registration is closed for this event

Supporting children after a close friend or family member has died is always an extremely difficult responsibility. Many children that 4in10 members support experience bereavement while also in unstable situations sometimes caused by financial insecurity and other complicating factors.

Winston's Wish (https://winstonswish.org) exists to provide support so that every child across the UK is able to grieve as they need to with appropriate support. This upcoming Information Session is a chance for 4in10 members to learn more about how Winston's Wish can support organisations who are helping bereaved children, find out about the range of bereavement support services available to professionals, families and young people  and how to access them (including referrals for bereavement counselling and group support).

We will be discussing how children may experience grief, and how to help them process the death of an important person whether this was anticipated or unexpected by unforeseen circumstances.

A virtual meeting link will be emailed to you a couple days before the event. If you have any questions, please email Emily at emily.barker@4in10.org.uk.
