Skills Enterprise

Skills Enterprise supports Newham’s residents experiencing barriers, from homelessness, debt, language and food insecurity, to unemployment, low income digital exclusion. We predominantly serves BAME residents, and also helps them address the racial discrimination they face when seeking support.

We do our work through one-to-one appointments, classes, workshops, individual support and celebrating together as a community.

Citizens Advice Croydon is a free, confidential and independent advice service for anyone living, working or studying in Croydon.   We offer advice quality standard accredited advice on:

housing, welfare benefits, money/debt, employment, health/community care, family/relationships, tax/utilities, and other legal issues.

The Unity Project

They support people to remove no recourse to public funds conditions from their leave to remain.

They run weekly casework sessions every Tuesday where they provide appointments and workshops for people with NRPF to help make ‘Change of Conditions’ applications for recourse to public funds.  This means that people can access the welfare safety net in times of crisis or hardship.
